Nurburgring 24 Hours
23rd - 26th June 2011
Porsche motorsport is synonymous with the Nurburgring and the endurance race that is the Nurburgring 24 Hours. With four race victories and 10 podium places in the last five years it is fair to say that Porsche has dominated the event. And whilst their dominance was briefly interrupted in 2010, the signs are good that in 2011, particularly with the amazing Hybrid Porsche, they will once again be competing at the front of the field.
The ADAC Nurburgring 24 Hours event starts on Thursday with free practice for the main event and night qualifying, as well as qualifying for the support races. Racing starts on Friday with final the final grid places for the 24 Hours race confirmed by 15:00. Following the grid walk and the formation lap, the 24 Hours race starts at 15:00. Racing through the night is always an amazing experience for both the spectator and driver alike, and on a circuit like the Nordschleife this experience is just heightened further.

An additional attraction for Porsche motorsport fans at the 2011 ADAC Nurburgring 24 Hours race is the inclusion of the Carrera World Cup event which will take place on the Saturday. Open to all 2007-2009 3.6 litre (400-420 bhp) Carrera Cup models and the latest 3.8 litre (450 bhp) cars. The race will be a six lap (100 mile) race and it is hoped that there will be in the region of 200 cars competing. This should be quite a spectacle!
We are delighted to be able to offer Porsche Club Motorsport and Porsche Club GB members the opportunity to attend this amazing motor racing spectacle staying at our trackside campsite close to the Warsteiner Curve on the Grand Prix circuit.
