Nurburgring 24 Hours
23rd - 26th June 2011
Located in the beautiful Eifel region of Germany just across the border from Belgium and nestled within the amazing and far-reaching Eifel forest, lies the formidable and infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife, the Green Hell.
23rd - 26th June 2011 will see the 39th running of the 24 Hours race at the Nurburgring; a truly addictive experience.
Competed over a combination of the GP circuit (5.1km) and the famous Nordschleife (20.8km), this combined circuit is recognised and accepted as one of motor racings toughest challenges. With its 170 corners, including the fabulous Karussell, a 210 degree banked corner, and over 1,000ft in altitude change from the lowest to highest points, it is no wonder that the legendary Sir Jackie Stewart described it as "the greatest and most challenging race circuit in the world" and nicknamed it the Green Hell.

With around 200 cars taking to the starting grid, with everything from factory BMWs and Porsches to privateers in VW Golfs it truly is a spectale like no other. Spectators are able to wander unhindered through the paddocks throughout the weekend and even on to the grid prior to the start of the race, enabling you to see and touch the cars.
Viewing is available from the many grandstands located around the F1 circuit, or from out in the forests around the Nordschleife. Either way, you get fantastic views of the action.
In addition to the 24hrs race, which is clearly the main event of the weekend, other races include the 24hr Classic car event, the Mini Challenge and the SEAT Leon Supercopa, the Renault Race festival and the Drift Challenge – so there is plenty to keep you occupied from Thursday morning until Sunday night!
