Le Mans 24 Hours
11th & 12th June 2011
The Porsche 917, considered by many to be one of the most iconic sports cars of all time, gave Porsche their first overall win at the Le Mans 24 Hours back in 1970. Porsche sports cars have been competitive at Le Mans ever since. Although the last overall victory for Porsche occurred back in 1998, they have preferred to concentrate on GT classes and have been dominant in their chosen fields.

The Le Mans 24 Hours experience is more than just a race. Traditionally the week begins with scrutineering and tests in the centre of Le Mans town, followed by practice at the circuit on Tuesday and Wednesday, with qualifying taking place on Thursday. Although the cars don't take to the track on Friday, the pit lane is opened to the public and the famous "Drivers Parade" takes place through the streets of Le Mans in the afternoon. Le Mans weekend begins with the various support races, including different invited historic cars each year, before the Le Mans 24 hours starts mid-afternoon and continues all through the night.
Porsche Club GB also has a great record in attending the Le Mans 24 Hours and for 2011 we are delighted to be able to offer PCGB members the opportunity to join us, trackside at the Le Mans circuit in our exclusive campsite. We are able to offer the widest choice of channel crossings, entrance tickets and grandstand seats, giving PCGB members the best options for attending the Le Mans 24 Hours.
