MG Ireland 2012
County Cavan
26th - 30th April

County Cavan is known as "The Lake Country" and is said to have a different lake or river for ever day of the year. Bordered by Counties Monaghan to the East, Leitrim to the West and Fermanagh to the North; the whole area offers breathtaking natural scenery and unique landscapes alongside a rich cultural heritage that only Ireland can provide. The Farnham Estate Hotel, just outside the town of Cavan, offers a relaxing base from which to explore this diverse area.

Saturday 28th April

Moving further afield this road run takes you beyond the lakes to the hills and mountains beyond. There will be time to explore the 18th century manor house at Florence Court before descending underground in to the Limestone caves of Marble Arch. Returning to Cavan through the Bellavally Gap in the Iron Mountains provides another stunning landscape on both sides of the car.

Sunday 29th April
For those wanting a break from the car there are opportunities to use the award winning spa at the hotel, or just relax in the hotel pool. For those wishing to stretch their legs the hotel has 1,300 acres of grounds to explore. Alternatively a further road run is also possible taking in the historical sites of Slane & Kells as well as the Neolithic tombs at Newgrange. A tour dinner has been arranged in the Hotel's Redwood Suite for the evening.

Monday 30th April
Our stay in Cavan comes to an end, so after breakfast we return back to the port in Dublin for our return crossing to Holyhead at 14.30hrs.
