NEWS - Private trackside campsites for Le Mans 24hrs and Le Mans Classic 2010

Travel Destinations are able to offer customers a choice of accomodation for both the Le Mans 24 hours and the Le Mans Classic. Particularly popular are the private trackside campsites. These trackside campsites provide improved security and superior toilet and shower facilities to the public on-circuit campsites.

For the Le Mans 24 hours (12th & 13th June 2010) the private trackside campsite is located at the Porsche Curves, one of the drivers' favourite parts of the track. Guests at the campsite will be able to feel the vibrations as the cars pass by on the adjacent track. The Le Mans 24 hours is a huge event with around 240,000 people attending across the weekend and it can be a bit daunting, particularly for first time visitors. The private trackside campsite will provide an oasis at the circuit, allowing people to still stay close to the actionm, but remain in a welcoming environment with good facilities and a friendly atmosphere amongst all the British motor racing fans. For the Le Mans Classic (9th - 11th July 2010) the private trackside campsite is ideally located on the inside of the Tertre Rouge corner (called Hunaudieres) just where the cars begin to turn on to the famous Mulsanne Straight. With excellent viewing available just outside the entrance to the campsite, this campsite really is close to all the action. First used for the Le Mans Classic back in 2008, it was a huge success and is a poular location for members of the MG Owners' Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club and members of Porsche clubs too. All makes and models of car are welcome inside this walled campsite offering comforting security for all cars as well as the important serviced showers and toilets. Also beneficial is the short walk from the campsite to the tram stop, where guests can easily catch trams straight in to the centre of Le Mans town.
